The Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) unveiled trading suspension for holidays of 2009 pursuant to holiday announcement of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. The stock market will suspend trading from January 1, 2009 to January 4, 2009 for the New Year’s holiday and resume trading on January 5, 2009, and another suspension lasts from January 25, 2009 to February 2, 2009 for the traditional Chinese Spring Festival. Stock trading will also be stopped from April 4, 2009 to April 6, 2009 for the Qingming Festival and three days of suspension from May 1, 2009 to May 3, 2009 for the Labor’s Day. For the Dragon Boat Festival, suspension will hold for four days from May 28, 2009 to May 31, 2009. Share transactions pause on September 27, 2009 and for the duration from October 1, 2009 to October 8, 2009 for the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival and pause again over the following weekend.
Clearing and settlement of the abovementioned holidays would be in compliance with arrangements of China Securities Depository and Clearing Co., Ltd.
